Jacksonville Youth Works, Inc. (JYWI) is a 501(c)(3) Community Economic Development Corporation dedicated to empowering youth ages 14–25 in Jacksonville’s underserved neighborhoods through workforce training, mentorship, and community revitalization initiatives.

From Vision to Impact: Highlights from 2025

  • Partnered with LIFT JAX to complete a few neighborhood revitalization projects in the Historic OutEast community since 2023.

     
  • Received a $12,000 Youth Empowerment Grant from the Jacksonville Public Education Fund in 2024.

     
  • Awarded $2,000 from the A.L. Lewis Foundation to expand youth mentorship and literacy initiatives in 2025.

     

Preparing to launch the LEVEL’D UP Live: Winter Empowerment Series (Dec 2025) — a hands-on, seven-day experience for emerging leaders.

Our Youth completed Facade Improvements on 11 homes in the Historical Neighborhood of Durkeeville in Jacksonville, Florida

Youth Workforce Development Training & Mentorship

Jacksonville Youth Works, Inc. partnered with The Preservation Firm and other community partners to complete the City of Jacksonville's Rise Up Grant in 2023 for our Summer Program! We believe in training and developing our Youth to become productive members of society!
